Hey! I'm Sampson, but my mom and dad calls me Sammy. Mom said I could to the blog post today to tell you my story. I'm a lot bigger now than in this picture. I'm an AKC registered Black-Tri Australian Shepherd, 9 months old, and I weigh around 55 pounds. My mom and dad bought me from Royal Aussie's, royalaussies.com owned by Alena Vesela. She breeds Australian Shepherd's, and my mom says she has some of the most beautiful puppies around. Haley and I are half brother and sister. We both have the same father. Haley only has one blue eye though.

I broke my leg in May, and all I could do was lay around in my pen all day, for 6 weeks! I couldn't run and play cause my leg was in a cast. That's me on the right with my cast on. Mom and dad had to carry me in and out of the house to go to the bathroom, cause I couldn't go up and down the steps by myself. It was kind of cool cause everybody was extra nice to me, and waited on me hand and foot. I got special toys and treats and everything! I even got to start sleeping with mom and dad.
What happened was I jumped up to see what dad had, and when I came back down on the floor, I landed wrong and twisted my leg around. Our vet, Dr. Coral Turman, said I had a spiral fracture in my lower part of my leg. It hurt really bad, and I screamed when it happened. It really scared mom and dad, and even my sisters, Gracie, Haley and Peanut. I couldn't walk on it at all. I had to hold it up and hop around to go potty.
But it's all better now and I can run just as fast as Haley. Well, maybe almost as fast as Haley, but I can run and play and do everything my sisters do. Dr. Coral Turman and her staff at Creekside Animal Hospital in Middleburg are the best! They never hurt me, not even once.
Anyway, that's my story. I gotta go play with Haley and Gracie now.
