Heehaw! It's Cold Outside!
Thank goodness, it's finally cold outside! Me, Gracie, Sampson, and even Peanut are so excited that it is finally getting cold. It was 47 degrees this morning, at least that is what mom said this morning. But I don't think she was very happy about it. She was mumbling something about it feeling a lot colder that 47.
Hi! Haley here. This cold weather has gotten all of us wanting to play! Me and Sampson got to go outside to play together this afternoon, and we had a great time chasing each other around the yard. Mom let us play until we were worn out, and then she made us come inside to get some water. After that, she had to go back out to feed, and work with the new puppy she has in Board and Train. She's an Australian Cattle Dog, and her name is Bandit. I have to admit, she is pretty cute. And she's a herding dog, just like us, so she is OK in my book!
Mom is teaching her puppy obedience, socialization, and working on some behaviors, such as teaching her not to jump on people, not to bite, and to wait at the door instead of running out. She is also teaching her a trick, but she won't tell anybody what it is yet. She wants it to be a surprise to the owner. He doesn't know that mom is going to teach her a trick yet. I wonder if she is teaching her to roll over and play dead like I can do? Me, Gracie and Peanut know all kinds of tricks. Mom is a certified trick dog trainer, and we have awards and everything! I'm higher up than my sisters, cause I'm smarter than they are. Ha, ha. Sampson doesn't have any awards yet. Mom hasn't had time to teach him any tricks yet cause she has been so busy training other dogs. Oh, I almost forgot, she did teach Sammy to look away, and look back. It's kind of cool. She says "look away" and he looks to the side. She says "look back" and Sammy looks behind him. Ha, ha. I want to learn that trick too! Oh yea, he can also give you his paw, and shake hands. But he has to learn 15 tricks to get his Novice title, so he has a long way to go.
Mom has had a lot of new clients lately. I think she has 12 or 13 right now. She still spends as much time with us as she can though. She's a great mom and we love her!
